"The USG Ishimura is a planet cracker class mining vessel in the service of the CEC, a large mining conglomerate in the universe of Dead Space. If any of the EDF fleet is still remaining, then humanity still has a chance to repel the Brethren Moons alongside any planet crackers that are still around. Here's hoping that in Dead Space 4 (if it ever comes out) we'll see such a large EDF ship take a more active role in the fight against the Brethren Moons. Now the question is whether or not the EDF had a ship even larger than the Roanoke. Considering the fact that the S.C.A.F's CMS Roanoke was at least half the size of the Ishimura, there's a very good chance that the EDF had a ship also as big as the Roanoke. If such a ship exists, it's unfortunate that we never see it even in Dead Space 3 when we're right next to Earth itself on the lunar colony at the very beginning of the game. So was the Ishimura really the biggest ship in the entire galaxy that was in humanity's possession or was it just the biggest planet cracker class ship specifically? Do you think that the EDF fleet contained any warships as big, if not bigger, than the Ishimura itself? You'd think Earthgov would have another ship on par with the Ishimura that is decked out to the brim with weapons to act as a proper deterrence measure for any colonies that even think about resisting against Earthgov rule.
